Massachusetts travel restrictions are being lifted as US travel ban ends
A mass travel ban has been lifted in Massachusetts as part of the US travel restrictions.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation tweeted the news this afternoon.
Massachusetts has been under a federal travel ban since it was enacted in February, and it was also the first state to repeal a law restricting travelers from six Muslim-majority countries.
The ban is also being lifted in several states, including California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Nevada.
The ban has caused a stir in some areas of the country, with several businesses in the Bay Area reportedly suspending operations, and thousands of people who had planned to fly to the US have canceled flights.
